Job Overview
Responsible for leading commercial activities that support business growth, profitability, and customer retention. The role oversees pricing strategies, tender submissions, contract negotiations, commercial performance, and business development initiatives while ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Support and drive commercial initiatives to achieve revenue growth and business objectives.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and improve profit margins.
- Monitor commercial performance, revenue trends, margins, and forecasts, providing insights to management.
Tendering, Proposals & Contract Management
- Lead end-to-end tender, proposal, and quotation processes.
- Develop commercial solutions and pricing models based on customer requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements with clients and partners.
- Ensure favourable commercial terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies.
Key Account & Business Development Support
- Partner with sales teams to strengthen customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Support account retention, contract renewals, and revenue expansion initiatives.
- Contribute to market analysis, customer engagement, and business development activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technical teams to ensure commercial agreements are practical and executable.
- Ensure compliance with governance, approval processes, and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in commercial, contracts, pricing, tendering, or sales support functions.
- Experience within marine, offshore, shipyard, engineering, or MRO industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial management, pricing, contract negotiation, and financial analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance strategic business goals with operational requirements.
