Cloud Engineer (AMK)

Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Cloud Engineer to join our thriving IT team. You will be working

on planning, deploying, and managing our cloud infrastructure as a cloud engineer. You will be an

important part of the team that designs and implements highly reliable, secure, and scalable cloud based

systems for our client. The ideal applicant will be well-versed in cloud technology, possess

exceptional problem-solving abilities, and be passionate about keeping up with the most recent

business trends.

Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment:

o Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions based on business

requirements.

o Implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments on platforms

such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

2. Automation and Scripting:

o Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and

orchestration of cloud resources.

o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and

repeatability of cloud deployments.

3. Security and Compliance:

o Implement security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure, data, and

applications.

o Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud services.

4. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

o Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize

resource utilization.

o Implement scaling strategies to handle varying workloads efficiently.

5. Collaboration and Support:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and

provide cloud solutions accordingly.

o Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.

6. Documentation and Training:

o Document cloud architecture, processes, and configurations.

o Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members and

stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in designing and managing cloud infrastructure.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS. Proficiency in Azure and Google Cloud is a plus.

• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and storage concepts.

• Experience with automation tools like Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
