Tower Crane Operator [HDB Project]

About the role

You will operate a tower crane on our HDB residential project sites, lifting and placing precast components and materials safely and efficiently in support of the daily works program.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the tower crane to lift, move and position precast components, formwork, reinforcement and general site materials.
• Work closely with the Lifting Supervisor, signalman and riggers, following hand signals and radio instructions at all times.
• Monitor load weights, radius and crane stability against the load chart; refuse any lift that falls outside safe operating limits.
• Carry out pre-operational and post-operational checks of the crane, and report defects or abnormalities immediately.
• Maintain basic housekeeping of the cab and crane structure.
• Comply with the WSH Act, lifting plans, permit-to-work requirements and all company safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Assist with other duties reasonably assigned by the Lifting Supervisor or Project Manager.

Requirements

Essential

• Valid MOM-approved Tower Crane Operator certificate from an Accredited Training Provider, and registered with MOM as a crane operator.
• Valid medical fitness certification for crane operation.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating tower cranes on building construction sites.
• Comfortable working at height and able to climb to the operator's cab.
• Able to communicate clearly with the lifting team by radio and understand standard hand signals.

Advantageous

• Experience on HDB or precast-heavy residential projects.
• Experience with luffing jib cranes / [specify your crane make and model].
• Valid Rigger and Signalman certification.
