We are looking for a passionate and creative Mixologist (Bar & Beverage Specialist) to join our team and take ownership of delivering an exceptional beverage experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cocktail & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, mocktails and other beverages to established standards.

• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portioning and quality for every drink served.

• Demonstrate good knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, garnishes, glassware and beverage presentation.

• Recommend suitable cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverages based on guest preferences.

• Maintain high standards of speed and accuracy, particularly during busy evening and event periods.

Beverage Development

• Assist in developing ALORE's signature cocktail and mocktail menu.

• Contribute creative ideas for seasonal cocktails, special events and beverage promotions.

• Experiment with ingredients, infusions, syrups, garnishes and presentation techniques while maintaining commercial viability.

• Stay updated on beverage trends, cocktail techniques and new products in the market.

• Work with management to continuously improve the overall beverage offering.

Guest Experience

• Engage guests confidently and professionally at the bar.

• Provide recommendations and explain cocktail ingredients, spirits and flavour profiles where appropriate.

• Create an energetic and welcoming bar atmosphere that complements ALORE's dining, live music and nightlife experience.

• Build rapport with regular guests and contribute to a strong customer experience.

Bar Operations & Inventory

• Complete daily opening and closing procedures for the bar.

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked and properly prepared before each service.

• Monitor liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes and other beverage inventory.

• Assist with stock counts, receiving and inventory control.

• Follow FIFO procedures and proper storage requirements.

• Monitor beverage wastage and maintain appropriate portion controls.

• Operate draught beer systems and other bar equipment correctly.

• Maintain accurate orders and transactions through the POS system.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards across the bar, equipment, glassware and storage areas.

• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of cocktail equipment, beer taps and beverage stations.

• Follow food safety and workplace safety requirements.

• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with applicable Singapore regulations and licensing requirements.

Teamwork

• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager, service team, kitchen and management to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Support the service team with beverage knowledge and recommendations.

• Assist in training junior bar or service team members on basic beverage preparation where required.

• Support ALORE's events, live music nights, DJ nights and private functions.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bartender, Mixologist, Bar Executive or Beverage Specialist in a restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality establishment.

• Good knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines and beers.

• Strong cocktail preparation and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of premium spirits and wines would be an advantage.

• Creative mindset with an interest in developing new cocktails and beverage concepts.

• Strong guest-service and communication skills.

• Confident, energetic and comfortable interacting with guests.

• Good attention to detail, cleanliness and presentation.

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the operational roster.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not simply someone who prepares drinks. We are looking for someone who understands beverages, enjoys creating cocktails and knows how to engage guests across the bar.

You should be equally comfortable preparing a perfectly balanced classic cocktail, recommending a premium spirit, handling a busy service period and contributing ideas for ALORE's next signature drink.
