WAITRESS FOR JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Job Summary

You will take customer orders, serve food and beverages, handle payments, and assist with stocktaking in a fast-paced Japanese restaurant near Somerset MRT.

Responsibilities

• Take customers' orders accurately to ensure correct food and beverage delivery
• Serve food and beverages promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
• Clear, tidy, and clean tables to maintain a welcoming dining environment
• Issue bills and handle payments efficiently to ensure smooth transactions
• Recommend food and beverages to customers to improve their dining experience
• Assist with monthly food and beverage stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory
• Perform daily closing of sales and verify cash till to ensure sales accuracy
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required to support restaurant operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous waitress or service experience in a Japanese restaurant
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese to serve diverse customers (Chinese required for customer interaction)
• Japanese language ability will be an advantage
• Friendly, confident, and persuasive communication skills to engage customers
• Initiative and responsibility to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant setting

Other Information

• Location: Orchard Road, near Somerset MRT
• Salary: $2,400 – $3,000/month, depending on experience
• Working Hours: 4.00pm – 12.00am
• Working Days: 6 days per week, with 1 day off on a rotating basis
