The Services required are set out as follows:

• Cutting and preparing specific portions of ingredients and distributing

them according to the recipe given by teachers before the start of all

NFS practical lessons.

• Store food ingredients accordingly to food safety standards.

• Maintenance of refrigerator which includes clearing of food.

• Clearing of unwanted packaging, boxes or items to be disposed of.

• Maintenance of tidiness of Food Labs.

• After lessons, check all cookers are off and rubbish is disposed of.

• Check that main gas supply is turned off at the end of the day.

• Clear the centre store table.

• Washing of rags using the washer/dryer machine.

• Perform inventory checks in NFS Food Lab and Work Room.

• Ensure Food Labs are arranged in order after practical lessons.

• Assist in food preparation for projects under the NFS Department,

e.g. Talent Development, Teachers’ Day, competitions, etc.

• Assist in food ordering for all NFS practical lessons and NFS

practical examinations.

• Receive the food orders delivered. Store the ingredients

appropriately in the labs.

• Contacting the grocer whenever the food orders delivered has

missing items or the ingredients are not fresh. To request for an

exchange or replacement of ingredients, if needed.

• Fill up the soaps, check that the cutlery and equipments are in place.

• Note leftovers to carry forward and advise teachers should there be

insufficient ingredients for preparation of lessons.
Perform stock-taking duties of consumables such as detergents,

soaps and sponges.

• Any other duties assigned by FCE teachers.
