Client Due Diligence Officer - 6 mths contract

Position: Client Due Diligence Officer

Contract Term: 6 months
Work location: Maybank Centre ( Near Yio Chu Kang MRT) or Textile Centre office ( Jalan Sultan )

Job Description

• Conduct Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) reviews for High and Medium-risk customers within the MSL business sectors, including periodic reviews and event-triggered reviews.
• Perform customer outreach to obtain information and supporting documentation required for review completion, when required.
• Respond to Business Unit’s queries and provide guidance on AML/CFT/PF and CDD/ECDD matters, applying appropriate risk-based judgment and sensitivity.
• Prepare clear, well-supported risk assessments and recommendations.
• Ensure all assigned reviews are completed within stipulated timeline.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 3–5 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry, preferably in Compliance, or Customer Due Diligence functions.
• Professional certifications such as ACAMS or qualifications from the International Compliance Association (ICA) will be advantageous.
• Sound understanding of banking products, services, and industry practices.

• Has strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess information, identify risk indicators, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
• Possess good written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clear assessments and well-reasoned recommendations.
• Has good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Has ability to exercise sound judgment and adopt a risk-based approach when assessing customer information and addressing Business Units’ queries.
