Senior/Software Engineer (Embedded System)

Job Summary

Design and develop firmware for microcontroller-based wireless systems, lead technology projects from specification to release, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative embedded software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support firmware and embedded software applications for microcontroller-based wireless systems to ensure reliable wireless communication
• Develop and implement software communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB for wireless communication systems
• Lead technology and development projects through all phases from specification to product release, ensuring timely delivery
• Analyze and interpret electronic schematics and system designs to support firmware development and troubleshooting
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate project tasks and meet deadlines
• Define and document product software specifications, including software architecture, feature descriptions, and application notes
• Research technical challenges and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to improve product performance
• Participate in ad hoc software projects and assignments to support evolving business needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience in real-time embedded systems
• Proficient in C/C++ programming language for embedded applications
• Experience with Arm Cortex-based microcontrollers for firmware development
• Strong knowledge of communication transport protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and USB

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Understanding of Bluetooth protocols and stack to enhance wireless system integration
• Familiarity with DSP programming to support advanced signal processing features
• Demonstrated teamwork, flexibility, and multitasking skills to adapt to dynamic project requirements
• Effective time management skills to independently prioritize and complete tasks
