Brief Summary:
Join a pioneering role in advancing forensic science with a focus on strategic innovation and research development. Lead transformative initiatives to enhance public safety and operational capabilities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term research and capability strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
- Identify and operationalise emerging technologies for investigations and public safety.
- Integrate traditional forensic practices with digital and AI-enabled methodologies.
- Build and sustain collaborations across government, industry, academia, and research institutions.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align research efforts with evolving organisational needs.
- Provide authoritative scientific advice for high-profile matters while maintaining public trust.
- Manage resources and performance measures to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to enhance innovation capacity.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, focusing on talent development and succession planning.
- Contribute to local and international forensic and innovation platforms to strengthen credibility.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification, preferably a Master’s degree or PhD, in a relevant STEM or forensic science discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in research, innovation, or related fields, with significant leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale innovation or capability development initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate trends into actionable initiatives.
- Experience in programme governance, including oversight of budgets and delivery frameworks.
- Excellent communication and partnership-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Commitment to talent management and coaching for future leadership development.
