Senior Chinese Language Teacher 中文老师

Job Responsibilities

* Deliver Chinese language lessons to students of various age groups (N2 to P6 levels).

* Develop and implement Chinese language programmes aligned with MOE syllabus.

* Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

* Prepare students for school examinations and Higher Chinese assessments.

* Lead curriculum planning and lesson standardisation across levels.

* Develop teaching materials, worksheets, assessment papers and enrichment programmes.

* Mentor and support junior teachers through lesson observations and coaching.

* Conduct internal training sessions and provide guidance on classroom management and teaching strategies.

* Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress and learning goals.

* Handle parent feedback professionally and recommend suitable learning strategies.

* Monitor teaching quality and ensure consistency across classes and centres.

* Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance the learning environment.

* Passionate about nurturing students’ confidence and interest in the Chinese language.

Job Requirements

* Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education / Chinese Studies / Chinese Language or other related disciplines.

* Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus and examination formats.

* Strong command of the Chinese language, both spoken and written, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong classroom management skills.

* Passionate in learning and teaching.

* Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint) and digital teaching tools.

* Prior experience in curriculum development and teacher mentoring is preferred.

* Must be able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays, excluding Public Holidays.

* Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching Chinese language. Senior teaching or leadership experience will be an advantage.

* Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.
