Principal/ Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, simulation, and integration of customised module solutions for diversified industries, such as semiconductor, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, motion control, and manufacturing—to translate complex technical requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities
· Mechanical Design: Lead the design and development of customized engineering solutions using SolidWorks.

· Analysis & Simulation: Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and work with FEA team to optimize structural integrity, vibration control, and dynamic performance.

· Prototyping & Qualification: Oversee physical prototyping, assembly, alignment, functional testing, and Design Verification Testing (DVT).

· Design for Manufacturability (DFMA): Collaborate with machining vendors and internal manufacturing teams to select optimal materials, heat treatments, and fabrication processes.

· Lifecycle & ECO Management: Drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), maintain Detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs), and ensure full compliance with ISO standards.

Technical Mentorship: Guide and review the technical output of junior mechanical engineers and CAD designers.

Requirements

· Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

· At least 10 years of working experience in semiconductor equipment or industrial automation.

· Proficient with mechanical design and drawing management using SolidWorks and PDM.

· In-depth knowledge of motion control components (linear guides, ball screws, direct-drive motors, encoders, air bearings, pneumatic systems).

· Knowledgeable in design and assembly of precision motion modules.

· Responsible and able to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently.
