IT Service Delivery Manager (SDM) – Network Technology Refresh
leads the operational planning, governance, execution, and transition of enterprise network lifecycle projects. You will oversee the
decommissioning of legacy hardware
and the deployment of next-generation routing, switching, wireless, and network security appliances. Acting as the vital link between enterprise stakeholders, network architects, deployment engineers, and third-party vendors, you ensure that all staging, site migration, and cutover activities complete
within scope, scheduled maintenance windows, and agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
without impacting ongoing business operation
Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Delivery
- Manage end-to-end execution of complex network hardware and software technology refresh initiatives across global/regional sites.
- Maintain the tech refresh master schedule, establishing strict project timelines, milestone gates, and resource plans.
- Orchestrate staging and implementation workflows, including equipment tracking, configuration validation, site readiness, and cutover activities.
- Mitigate operational risks during migration phases by establishing rigorous rollback plans and failover testing strategie
Service Management & Operations
- Align all deployment activities with core ITIL framework principles, specifically managing high-impact Change requests, Incident logs, and Release schedules.
- Govern SLAs and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to ensure minimal network downtime during site hardware replacements.
- Oversee standard procedures for network discovery, asset validation, decommissioning, data wiping, and electronic waste recycling.
- Ensure seamless operational handovers, transferring newly refreshed network environments from project states into Day-2 production support
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal business units, technical leads, and steering committees regarding deployment status.
- Coordinate third-party hardware vendors and ISPs to secure hardware delivery, manage return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), and align circuit delivery timelines.
- Network Competency: Strong foundational knowledge of enterprise network topology, including Cisco/Juniper routing & switching, SD-WAN, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), wireless access points, and low-voltage structured cabling layouts.
- Certifications: ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or Intermediate certification is required. PMP, PRINCE2, CCNA, or CCNP credentials are highly desirable.
- Process Knowledge: Deep familiarity with change control, inventory asset tracking (e.g., ServiceNow CMDB), and risk assessment methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Superior communication and negotiating skills, with a proven ability to lead distributed, multi-functional technical teams under tight windows.
