Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory, movement, and availability of spare parts, tools, consumables, and materials required for power plant maintenance activities.
  • Review maintenance schedules, work scopes, and parts requirements to ensure materials are available for planned and unplanned maintenance events.
  • Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issuance, transfers, returns, reservations, consumption, and stock balances in the relevant systems.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, suppliers, and logistics providers to support the timely delivery and availability of materials.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders, process material-related invoices, and follow up on outstanding deliveries and payments through internal systems.
  • Expedite critical parts and follow up with suppliers and internal counterparts to address material shortages or potential delivery delays.
  • Conduct or witness incoming inspections to verify the quantity, specifications, condition, and supporting documentation of received materials.
  • Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials, and coordinate the necessary replacement, repair, or corrective action.
  • Ensure materials are properly labelled, preserved, stored, and handled in accordance with established procedures, manufacturer requirements, and site safety standards.
  • Coordinate the picking, kitting, staging, pre-packing, dispatch, and return of parts required for maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and verify logistics and shipping documentation, including packing lists, delivery orders, bills of lading, shipping marks, permits, and other relevant documents.
  • Support the inspection of dismantled or returned components and work with technical supervisors to coordinate repair, replacement, or remedial works where required.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Monitor critical, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory, and provide recommendations on replenishment and stock optimisation.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, parts usage, outstanding deliveries, material shortages, and readiness for upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Maintain proper document control and complete audit trails for all material transactions, inspection records, shipping documents, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide site coordination and administrative support during planned outages and unplanned maintenance events, including contractor access, transportation, and documentation arrangements.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives relating to material control, warehousing, logistics, and maintenance operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ of relevant experience of material controlling or inventory
  • Familiarity of SAP is an added advantage
  • Candidates who are comfortable to work in a hybrid setup, alternating between HQ and Jurong Island will be desirable
