SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description

Holds ultimate responsibility and (with cascading) accountability for the safe, reliable and successful execution, delivery and completion of the project with agreed time and budget, in a safe, environmental, quality, risk &opportunity and commercial conscious manner and compliant to all other set requirements and to Client and stakeholder’s satisfaction.

All activities will be performed in accordance with Corporate Management System.

Core Responsibilities

• The scrutiny and recommendation for acceptance of the Project hand-over package from Business Development.
• The definition and preparation of the Project Execution Plan, with due recognition of all project phases.
• The initiation, execution and handover of the project as per the CMS Primary Processes of Project Management by defining, setting-up, implementation and continuous improvement of the coding and information structure to support the project control management.
• Obtain endorsement from relevant departments of the Project Execution Plan.
• Establish, organize, mobilize and develop the Project Team in close cooperation and agreement with relevant department- and/or section heads.
• Define the Client management strategy in agreement with the VP Business Development & VP Projects and implements this strategy to continuously increase value for Company and Client.
• The optimization of the client relation in accordance with company's interests.
• The safe (and to quality) delivery of the Project (compliant to corporate HSEQ criteria and where applicable to further Client contract requirements) at all project sites (including vendor & construction sites).
• The Project Schedule attainment and compliance, in line with agreed and approved Project Milestones.
• The Budget attainment and compliance of the project.
• The expeditious issue of invoices to Client and the obtaining of timely payment as such.
• The recurrent monitoring, reporting and control of the set Project Cash-Flow position.
• The recurrent (quantitative) assessment and pro-active continuous management of Project Risks and Opportunities.
• The efficient and effective Management of Change(s) to the Project.
• Ensure authorization (in accordance with corporate authorization hierarchy) and management of all 3rd party commitments and costs of the project (Purchase Orders &Subcontracts).
• The recurrent and timely (re)forecasting of Project Schedule and Project Cost.
• The recurrent timely, robust, realistic and reliable reporting and presentation to Company (Senior) management of the Project progress, HSEQ performance, status, rusks, opportunities and implemented mitigations (in pre-agreed format and frequency).
• The adequate information, liaison and coordination of the Project delivery with the Client.
• Ensure the quality of all provided (management) information.
• Establish and maintain a firm, motivational and constructive working environment within the Project Team and with subject company departments.
• Establish and maintain an unambiguous team communication structure.
• The management and resolution of Project claims from/to Client, vendors and subcontractors.
• The alignment and timely delivery of the Project hand-over to Client, Company Floating Production division and/or Company After Sales department (as applicable).
• The timely delivery of Project close-out reporting with substantiated clearly formulated recommendations from Lessons Learned for improvements.
