About this job

The Education and Outreach Manager is responsible developing educational programmes and creating awareness for animal welfare issues. He/she plays a vital role in inspiring the younger generations to advocate for animal causes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing and strengthening SPCA’s relationship with partners (e.g. community and corporate partners such as schools, other non-profit organisations, businesses)
  • Implementing educational materials for audiences of varied ages and backgrounds.
  • Developing brochures, resource kits and content for educational needs.
  • Updating content for SPCA’s website and other platforms.
  • Working closely with vets, trainers and educators to develop subsidised or free educational programmes.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the educational community events.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders for corporate groups’ talks and programmes.
  • Reaching out to schools and engaging schools for the promotion of SPCA’s talks and educational programmes.
  • Engaging and sourcing new partners to support SPCA’s outreach strategy.
  • Managing and training of education volunteers.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc events and SPCA-led initiatives as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Education (Curriculum & Teaching)/Communications/Marketing or in related field
  • At least 5 years of working experiences in a similar position
  • Experience in the not-for-profit or animal related sector an advantage but not required
  • Able to work independently and in teams, meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident public speaker and dynamic personality
  • Possess multidisciplinary project skills and able to work under the pressure of various concurrent priorities
  • Passion for animals and animal welfare
