Regional Head, Airfreight Business Process Excellence

Job Summary:
Lead the regional transformation, standardisation and operational excellence of SF Express’s air freight forwarding business as it scales internationally. Drive a scalable operating model, CargoWise adoption, process governance, quality and regulatory readiness while supporting growth, profitability and customer service objectives.

Job Description:

• Lead regional air freight forwarding operations and performance, ensuring alignment with growth, profitability, service and quality objectives.
• Plan and optimise resources across countries and stations, including people, training, equipment and systems, to support operational and contractual requirements.
• Design, document and standardise end-to-end air freight forwarding processes and SOPs across markets.
• Adapt SF Express China’s operating model and best practices into a scalable international framework while addressing local market requirements.
• Lead CargoWise rollout, configuration, integration and adoption across new and existing markets, in partnership with Group IT.
• Establish regional quality, SOP governance, internal audit, compliance and control frameworks, including IATA, RA3, customs and relevant ISO requirements.
• Drive process performance management, continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity and service quality.
• Lead change management, training and stakeholder alignment to embed new processes, systems and operating standards.
• Support new country and station launches by ensuring process, systems, resource and certification readiness.
• Partner with country leadership and Group IT, Finance, HR and Treasury to align processes, systems, data and controls; monitor regulatory developments and drive timely updates to SOPs and training.
• Manage key customer and stakeholder relationships, maintain regional service standards, and identify and mitigate operational, compliance and systems risks.

Job Requirement:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in air freight forwarding, logistics or operational excellence, preferably across multiple markets.
• Strong knowledge of air freight forwarding operations and CargoWise or comparable freight management systems.
• Proven experience in process design, operational transformation and continuous improvement; Lean/Six Sigma experience is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of IATA, RA3, customs and relevant quality standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and change programmes across multiple markets.
• Strong strategic, analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate operating models into practical, scalable solutions across different markets.
• Proficient in written and spoken English. Additional relevant language skills are advantageous.
