You will lead the Club’s retail operations, ensuring high standards of service, product quality, operational efficiency, and member experience across all retail spaces.
The role is responsible for developing and executing retail strategies and initiatives to drive revenue and profitability, while overseeing buying, merchandising, inventory management, supplier relationships, cost control, and team performance.
We are looking for someone who
Has at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within retail, hospitality, or a members' club environment
Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in retail operations, sourcing, merchandising, inventory and supplier management
Strategic and analytical, with the ability to drive business performance through data-driven decisions
A people-person with strong communication and organizational skills
Experience in sourcing for American-community products locally and internationally and / or managing essential service operations (e.g., laundry) is a plus
Prepared to work on weekends and public holidays
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Lead daily retail operations across the Club’s retail spaces, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring high standards of service, presentation, product quality, stock availability, and member experience
Source and curate a relevant and commercially successful product assortment with a focus on American goods for our retail space
Manage local and international supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing, reliable delivery, product quality, and compliance with procurement requirements
Leverage retail performance data, insights and trends to support buying decisions and develop strategies that drive sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency
Oversee merchandising, inventory controls, deliveries, reorder cycles, and discontinuation of slow-moving products where appropriate
Prepare operational and financial reports & presentations, profit & loss commentary, budgets, forecasts, and business plans
Ensure compliance with Club policies, procurement procedures, financial controls, and audit requirements
Develop a high-performing retail team through strong communication, effective manpower planning, coaching, performance management and training
