Associate Engineer (Electrical)

Job Description:

• Conduct maintenance on advanced Web Offset Printing machinery and associated automation controls

• Maintain and troubleshoot Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Computer to Plate systems and auxiliary systems, such as the 130-ton Ink supply and Central De-ionised water system.

• Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance procedures.

• Ensure timely and effective repairs of equipment breakdowns with a strong focus on safety.

• Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper permit-to-work and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.

• Maintain an up-to-date fault rectification report in the data management system.

• Undertake any other tasks or functions related to assigned work.

Job Requirements:

• Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering. Candidates from related disciplines may apply.

• Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting plant operating systems and equipment.

• Detail-oriented and comfortable with hands-on work in a manufacturing setting.

• Willingness to acquire and upgrade skills through continuous learning and training.

• Possess good foundational knowledge in electrical principles, including the ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and the general maintenance of testing tools and instruments.

• Proficient in technical computing, and familiarity with PLCs, networking and SCADA system is highly advantageous.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team player.

• Safety-conscious and dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.

• Physically able to move machinery parts.

• Ability to perform shift work including weekends and overtime when needed.
