Finance Executive (FP&A) – 6-Month Contract

A well-established organisation is seeking a Finance Executive to support its Financial Planning & Analysis function on a 6-month contract basis, which may be extended or renewed. The role will provide hands-on support across budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting, while working closely with the wider finance team and business stakeholders.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including preparation of financial schedules and analysis.

• Assist with financial planning and analysis, providing insights into financial performance, trends and key business drivers.

• Prepare and consolidate management reports, financial analysis and presentations for management review.

• Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and supporting explanations for management.

• Assist with monthly financial reporting, including data gathering, reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.

• Work with various internal stakeholders to gather financial information, understand business assumptions and ensure accuracy of reporting.

• Support process improvements and other finance-related projects or ad-hoc assignments as required.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, management reporting, financial analysis or a broader finance function.

• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful insights.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems or ERP platforms.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
