Executive/Senior Executive, Engagement & Strategic Communications

General Purpose of Position:

The Executive/Senior Executive, Engagement & Strategic Communications plays a strategic role in advancing Pergas' mission by leading the development of Pergas' engagement strategy, strengthening institutional partnerships, driving donor and fundraising relationships and shaping Pergas' messaging framework and media relations. The role owns the strategic direction for thought leadership dissemination, working closely with external teams to ensure coherent execution across religious and public spheres.

Main Duties:

• Lead the development of an integrated engagement strategy that aligns community building, partnership development, donor engagement and fundraising efforts with Pergas' mission and strategic priorities.
• Own and maintain Pergas' institutional messaging framework and media relations approach to ensure alignment and credibility across all platforms.
• Lead fundraising initiatives, including developing donor engagement strategies, fundraising campaigns and strategic partnerships to support Pergas' programmes and organisational priorities.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, donors, partners, and community organisations.
• Lead the curation of strategic partnerships for community religious initiatives, reinforcing Pergas' role as a convening body for asatizah.
• Set the strategic direction for the dissemination of thought leadership content to diverse audiences through targeted channels and partnerships.
• Provide guidance to the communications team on messaging consistency and stakeholder engagement approach to ensure aligned execution (functional guidance only; no formal supervisory authority).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in communications, public affairs, Islamic studies, or a related discipline.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, public communications, or partnership development, with a track record of leading strategic initiatives.
• Experience working with religious institutions, MMOs, or charitable organisations is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience leading donor engagement, fundraising strategy, and strategic partnership development.

• Familiarity with media relations, message framing, and communications planning.
• Experience in community initiative design and inter-organisational collaboration.
• Comfortable working with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and event platforms.
• Proficient in digital content distribution, basic analytics, and managing communications across multiple platforms and audiences.
