Retail Store Manager [CCP for Retail Professionals & Associates]

At Kira, we are more than just a local game store—we are the hub of our local tabletop and TCG community. We specialize in buying, selling, and trading single cards, sealed product, and gaming accessories for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, and more, alongside hosting weekly competitive and casual events. We are looking for a highly motivated, community-driven Store Manager to oversee day-to-day retail operations, lead our store staff, drive sales growth, and foster a welcoming environment for players of all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Sales Leadership

• Oversee daily retail store operations, opening/closing procedures, register reconciliation, and floor management.

• Manage retail inventory levels for both sealed product and singles, including restocking, merchandising, and loss prevention.

• Oversee card intake, trade-in pricing, card grading (NM/SP/MP/HP/Damaged), and direct buying from customers based on live market pricing platforms (e.g., TCGplayer, Cardmarket).

• Drive store revenue through effective merchandising, customer engagement, and cross-selling accessories (sleeves, deck boxes, binders).

Team Management & Leadership

• Hire, train, schedule, and mentor a team of floor associates and event organizers.

• Delegate tasks efficiently, set clear performance targets, and perform regular performance evaluations.

• Ensure all team members deliver exceptional customer service and maintain accurate grading/pricing standards for singles.

Events & Community Engagement

• Partner with the Lead Event Coordinator to plan, market, and execute weekly TCG events (e.g., Friday Night Magic, Prereleases, Local Championship Qualifiers, Casual Play Nights).

• Maintain official tournament software (e.g., Wizards EventLink, Pokémon Event Manager, Bandai TCG Plus) and ensure accurate reporting.

• Serve as the main ambassador for the store, resolving customer disputes, enforcing code-of-conduct guidelines, and cultivating an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.

Online Sales & Market Monitoring

• Oversee the inventory, fulfillment, and customer service for online marketplaces (TCGplayer, eBay, Shopify store).

• Monitor market trends, set competitive prices for local singles, and adjust buying buy-lists to match shifting demand and meta-game shifts.
