About this job

Responsible for operating and maintaining utility systems and production equipment to ensure reliable performance. Duties include routine maintenance, monitoring, record-keeping, and early issue detection. The role also involves coordinating with vendors and contractors for maintenance, calibration, and supplies.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems and production equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient plant operations.
• Manage key systems including boilers, WWTP, RO water, chillers, compressors, nitrogen supply, and production equipment, ensuring reliable start-up and continuous performance.
• Conduct routine inspections, functional checks, and monitor critical parameters to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, implement corrective actions, and identify early signs of wear or malfunction for timely escalation.
• Handle chemical dosing, replacement, and proper disposal of waste such as sludge and spent solutions in accordance with procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, calibration, and procurement of spare parts and chemicals.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate vendor and equipment records.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and all applicable company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping (5S) standards in all maintenance and operational areas.
• Support cross-functional activities, and carry out any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


• Minimum NITEC (or higher);
• At least 2 years of experience in plant utilities and production equipment maintenance.
• A Class 2 Boiler Attendant Certificate and experience with production equipment, including spray dryers, are advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Good planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Basic understanding of hazardous chemical symbols.
• Proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
