Legal and Trade Control Compliance Officer (1 Year Contract)

Role Summary

This role supports security trade control compliance, commercial contract review, dispute management, and corporate compliance programs for the Southeast Asia region.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal & Corporate Compliance: Review NDAs, commercial agreements, and business contracts. Support dispute resolution and manage corporate compliance programs, including anti-trust, anti-bribery, and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) requirements.

• Security Trade Control (Export Control): Manage export control requirements across Southeast Asia. Oversee end-user verifications, process export approvals in SAP, and liaise with global legal teams for transactions involving military organizations or restricted regions.

• Training & Reporting: Conduct legal, compliance, and trade control training for regional employees. Prepare annual sales reports for headquarters and participate in global export control meetings.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Law, International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, or international trade regulations.

• Prior experience in law firms or in-house legal contract review and management.

• Awareness of geopolitical developments and their impact on international trade.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
