Procurement Manager
About this job
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement risk for our packaging manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do
- Support and grow the business to improve profitability, while ensuring a seamless supply of materials to production
- Drive strategic sourcing and negotiation to deliver measurable cost savings
- Build and manage a resilient, audited supplier base (AEPL, Balanced Scorecards, SCARs)
- Own procurement budgets, purchase orders, and OTIF delivery performance
- Manage supply chain risk — including compliance, ESG / Modern Slavery standards, and tariff and trade developments
- Champion digital procurement tools and AI across all areas of procurement and supply chain (ERP/MRP, e-sourcing platforms, AI-driven analytics) to improve decision-making
What You Will Need
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Procurement
- Extensive knowledge and experience in sourcing engineering component parts and materials
- Proactive strategic role responsible for identifying and onboarding new suppliers
- Fast, decisive execution, follow-up, and time management
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- 8 to 10 years in procurement or supply chain within a production or manufacturing environment
- Manage a team within supply chain within a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and financial analysis skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001; CIPS certification advantageous
- Proficiency in SAP, Epicor and Excel; comfortable with data analytics tools
- Deep knowledge of commodity markets, including energy, with strong analytical skills
- Independent, decisive, and proactive — able to act fast and follow through under pressure in a time-sensitive environment
- Experience in managing contract above SGD 50 million and above
- Mandatory Singapore experience (minimum 5 years) in a Singapore SME company
Experience managing teams, KPIs, operations, and departmental performance
Good understanding of Singapore employment practices and regulations
Monitors departmental budgets, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Fosters cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity, quality, and timely delivery of business objectives
Digitally savvy with willingness to learn, explore, and apply AI tools, business applications, and digital solutions to improve productivity and operational effectiveness
Proactive and solution-oriented; anticipates challenges, drives continuous improvement, and delivers results through effective execution
Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, strong presentation skills, sound judgement, and high sense of responsibility in leading teams and managing stakeholders
