ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

Containers Printers Pte Ltd is looking for a Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager to lead one of our production sections (Press, Printing, Nutrition/Food Cans, or Flexible packaging).

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will drive operational performance, process improvement, and team leadership to achieve our QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety) targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and take overall responsibility for all production lines within the assigned section, managing teams, operations, and section KPIs.

• Drive execution to consistently achieve 100% OTIF delivery and minimise rejects/waste.

• Maximise machine efficiency, capacity, and resource utilisation across the section.

• Execute cost-reduction strategies, manage monthly OT spend, and optimise resource utilisation to drive savings.

• Chair root-cause analysis meetings for non-conformances and implement effective CAPA.

• Supervise, coach, and direct Supervisors, Foremen, and operators.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SOPs, cGMPs, and Singapore employment regulations.

• Digitally apply ERP systems (SAP/Epicor) and drive Industry 4.0 / data-driven process optimisation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Management, or related field.

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within Press, Printing, Food Cans, or Flexible packaging.

• Proven experience managing teams, KPIs, shopfloor operations, and departmental performance.

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, cGMP, and ERP systems (SAP/Epicor).

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment practices and regulations.

• Mandatory Singapore experience (minimum 5 years) in a Singapore SME company.

• Experience managing teams, KPIs, operations, and departmental performance.

• Good understanding of Singapore employment practices and regulations.

• Monitors departmental budgets, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Fosters cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity, quality, and timely delivery of business objectives.

• Digitally savvy with willingness to learn, explore, and apply AI tools, business applications, and digital solutions to improve productivity and operational effectiveness.

• Proactive and solution-oriented; anticipates challenges, drives continuous improvement, and delivers results through effective execution.

• Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, strong presentation skills, sound judgement, and high sense of responsibility in leading teams and managing stakeholders.
