About this job
Develop project construction schedules and manpower requirements based on gathered information.
Deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to client requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Manage and oversee day-to-day construction operations and provide timely updates to management.
Respond promptly to work delays, emergencies, and site issues.
Ensure compliance with all governmental and building regulations.
Review contracts and quotations to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.
Conduct site visits for new enquiries and prepare quotations accordingly.
Communicate project needs, requirements, and schedules clearly to supervisors, team leaders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Establish and maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
Effectively manage project teams, site staff, materials, and equipment.
Investigate productivity or performance issues and implement corrective measures; prepare reports for management approval.
Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans; submit reports to management.
Assist Quantity Surveyors (QS) in retrieving claim submission documents and resolving payment issues; ensure timely submission of claim sheets.
Monitor project budget, track costs, and prepare for unforeseen expenses.
Manage materials and equipment to minimize wastage, damage, and unnecessary costs.
Ensure optimal utilization of company assets and rented equipment/materials.
Manage manpower costs to achieve cost efficiency within budget.
Attend, prepare, and chair monthly meetings with supervisors, team leaders, and drivers; submit minutes to management.
Attend site meetings and inspections with clients and safety teams as required.
Prepare regular project progress reports.
Ensure all changes to specifications, scopes, drawings, and delays are properly documented.
Conduct accident/incident/near-miss investigations and submit reports to authorities; implement safety measures onsite.
Perform any ad-hoc projects or duties as required by management.
Scaffolding experience is an added advantage.
