Research Assistant (Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electronics Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development in computer vision, multimodal learning, medical/industrial imaging, and related AI4X topics.

• Design, implement, train, and evaluate deep learning models and research prototypes using Python/PyTorch and related tools.

• Prepare and curate research datasets, conduct quantitative and qualitative experiments, and perform rigorous result analysis.

• Review relevant literature and identify suitable baselines, datasets, evaluation protocols, and research opportunities.

• Contribute to technical reports, project deliverables, research papers, code repositories, and presentations.

• Work closely with the PI and collaborators, participate in research meetings, and support collaborative research activities.

• Perform other research-related duties as assigned by the PI in support of the project objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

• Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills

• In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.

• Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.

• The ability and willingness to adapt and incorporate novel ideas and approaches in scientific industry.

• Demonstrated ability to formulate hypothesis and design effective experimental plans.

• Ability to design and implement new experimental methods.

• High-level expertise in the required experiment or modelling methods.

• Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.

• Oversee and report project progress.

• Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.
