Deputy Head of HR (Public Sector)

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of HR in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives while partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning and organisational priorities.
• Lead initiatives in talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness.
• Oversee HR operations, compensation and benefits, payroll governance, HR policies, and employee lifecycle processes to ensure operational excellence.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance issues, disciplinary cases, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
• Lead, coach, and develop the HR team, fostering a high-performance culture while driving capability building across all HR functions.
• Drive HR transformation initiatives, digitalisation, process optimisation, and the implementation of HR systems and best practices to improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Build strong relationships with senior management, business leaders, unions (where applicable), and external stakeholders while providing strategic HR insights, workforce analytics, and governance support for key organisational initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Business / Science
• At least 10 years of expeirence in HR
• Experience working in large workforce environment (>1000)
• Country level role - Singapore
