We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our Tankers team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with tanker operations experience who is looking to broaden their exposure, work with international clients and stakeholders, and build a long-term career in the maritime industry.
The Role
As an Operations Executive, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth execution of tanker fixtures and voyages. Working closely with shipowners, charterers, agents and our global teams, you will be involved in the day-to-day coordination and monitoring of vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the day-to-day operations of tanker vessels, including Crude, CPP and DPP.
- Coordinate closely with shipowners, charterers, agents, brokers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth voyage execution.
- Monitor vessel and voyage performance and follow up on operational matters arising from fixtures.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation, reports and records accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and assist in resolving operational issues, working with relevant parties to achieve timely solutions.
- Provide clear and timely updates to internal teams, clients and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with SSY's global offices and teams to ensure effective communication and seamless operations.
- Support the team on other operational matters and projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant Tanker Operations experience, preferably with exposure to Crude, CPP and/or DPP.
- Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with good problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a genuine interest in developing a career in shipping and maritime.
- Willingness to learn, take on new responsibilities and grow with the team.
- Comfortable working independently while also being an effective team player within a global organisation.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
