Trade Operations Executive (No Experience Needed)

JOB DESCRIPTION

A well-established petrochemical trading company is currently looking for a Trade Operations Executive to provide dedicated daily support for their physical trading activities.

The Trade Operations Executive will be responsible for executing physical trades, overseeing inventory and cargo discharge, and ensuring all deal information is captured accurately within the trading books (ETRM). You will draft and finalize sales and purchase contracts with counterparties. On the logistics front, you will coordinate extensively with suppliers, terminals, surveyors, and load port agents to manage vessel clearance, loading plans, and cargo readiness.

Additionally, you will handle post-trade operational finance, which includes calculating and negotiating demurrage claims, managing secondary costs, and preparing cargo insurance declarations. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional or junior executive to build a strong foundation in physical commodity operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 0 to 2 years of relevant working experience. Training will be provided for entry-level
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table and Vlookup)
• Previous internship experience within Commodities Trading industry is preferred
• Working knowledge of ETRM systems, trading P&L, and exposure calculations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and counterparties in the region
