About the Role
At EDMI, we develop and deliver innovative smart energy solutions worldwide. We are looking for a motivated Product Engineer to take ownership of assigned products from design to end-of-life. This role bridges R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain operations, ensuring smooth product introduction, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management.

You will play a key role in supporting NPI (New Product Introduction), prototype builds, managing production release, BOM/SAP processes, and coordinating with global teams to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Lifecycle Ownership

• Manage assigned products from design to end-of-life.
• Prepare NPI schedules and ensure timely ramp-up to mass production.
• Oversee product transfer from design to NPI and production across multiple sites.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost, processes, and performance.

2.Production Release Governance

• Drive cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Conduct production release reviews, ensuring documentation and approvals are complete.
• Support manufacturing sites to achieve target yield during production release.

3.Prototype & Pilot Support

• Coordinate cross-functional activities for prototype builds.
• Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams for component readiness.
• Collect DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and PFMEA data from pilot builds to feedback to design.
• Ensure technical documentation is complete and up-to-date in databases.

4. Bill of Material (BOM), SAP & Engineering Change Notification (ECN) Management

• Maintain SuperBOMs in SAP with EDMI-standard part numbers.
• Work with Group Material Master team to ensure data accuracy.
• Lead ECN meetings with stakeholders to manage product changes according to procedure.

5. Test Development Support

• Partner with Test Development team to support product verification and qualification activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise product cost and efficiency.
• Analyse test data to identify improvement opportunities to enhance test efficiency and product quality.
• Implement initiatives to optimise test performance and improve production yield through corrective and preventive actions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Diploma holders with relevant experience welcome).
• 3–5 years of experience in product engineering or NPI preferred (fresh graduates considered).
• Experience in technical design and product transfer within the Electronics industry is a strong plus.
• Strong multitasking, analytical, and computer skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Singapore and Malaysia.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
