· Strong understanding of tropical marine and coastal ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, ecological impact assessment and environmental management issues.

· Experience working in marine environments such as coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves, intertidal habitats, subtidal habitats or benthic environments.

· Physically capable and medically fit to undertake marine fieldwork, including long field days, boat-based work and work in challenging environmental conditions.

· Confidence working with clients, developers, contractors, government agencies, NGOs and other external stakeholders.

· Able to work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

· Flexible and willing to support project needs that may occasionally require weekend work, public holiday work, early starts, late finishes or overseas travel.
