Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer to manage and execute end-to-end procurement activities for assigned project packages in line with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements. The role involves close coordination with engineering, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of compliant materials and equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier negotiations, bid evaluations, procurement reporting, and continuous improvement of procurement processes while ensuring adherence to company policies and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned packages in accordance with project requirements

• Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFQs, Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE)

• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial and contractual terms

• Coordinate with engineering and QA/QC teams to ensure technical and quality compliance

• Manage the full procurement cycle including bid clarification, purchase order issuance, expediting, inspection coordination, delivery, and documentation

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and quality standards

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, ethics policies, and project requirements

• Prepare procurement status reports and highlight critical issues or risks to management

• Support vendor qualification, pre-award meetings, kick-off meetings, and post-award follow-ups

• Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

• At least 8–10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in EPC / EPCI / oil & gas projects

• Strong experience in RFQ, TBE, CBE, supplier negotiations, and contract management

• Good understanding of project procurement workflows and supplier management

• Strong organisational, analytical, and reporting skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
