Compliance Executive (Real Estate / Property)

Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and industry requirements
Conduct regular compliance checks, reviews, and audits across business operations
Review transactions, documentation, and processes to identify potential compliance gaps or risks
Support compliance with AML/CFT, KYC, customer due diligence, and regulatory requirements, where applicable
Monitor updates from relevant regulatory authorities and assess their impact on business operations
Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation, registers, and reports
Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews
Investigate and follow up on potential compliance breaches, irregularities, or policy violations
Prepare compliance reports and provide recommendations to management on identified risks and areas for improvement
Conduct compliance-related training and awareness sessions for employees and relevant stakeholders
Work closely with business units to provide guidance on compliance requirements and best practices
Support risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
Keep abreast of changes in real estate regulations, regulatory guidelines, and industry developments
Perform ad hoc compliance and risk management assignments as required
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Compliance, Law, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, audit, regulatory affairs, or a related field
Experience in real estate, property, financial services, or a regulated industry will be an advantage
Good understanding of regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, KYC, and risk management principles
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of compliance monitoring and internal control processes
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Professional certifications in compliance, risk management, or related fields will be an advantage
