Technician

Job Summary

You will monitor SCADA systems, perform chemical handling and preventive maintenance tasks following SOPs, manage chemical waste disposal, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards to support smooth chemical system operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA systems and respond promptly to alarms with basic troubleshooting to maintain system stability
• Conduct routine system checks and monitor operational parameters to ensure consistent performance
• Change out chemical drums, totes, and ISO tankers according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain supply continuity
• Mix chemicals accurately following SOP to support process requirements
• Collect chemical samples as per SOP for quality and safety verification
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtime
• Manage chemical waste by ensuring proper collection, segregation, and disposal in compliance with environmental standards
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all rooms and chemical systems to support a safe work environment
• Follow site safety protocols, work procedures, and SOPs to ensure personal and team safety
• Complete assigned ad-hoc duties from management efficiently and safely

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficient in English to communicate effectively within the team and with management
• Able to perform shift duties as required to support continuous operations
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively
• Exhibit discipline, integrity, and teamwork to contribute positively to the work environment
• Minimum GCE O-Level or equivalent in chemical or mechanical process to understand technical tasks
• Preferably possess at least 1 year of experience in Total Chemical / Gas Management (TCGM) to apply relevant knowledge
• Willingness to undergo training to develop job-specific skills
