Responsibilities:

  • Prepare survey setting-out plans, calculations, and related survey documentation for construction works.
  • Carry out site surveys, setting-out, levelling, alignment, and dimensional checks to facilitate construction activities.
  • Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, grids, and reference points in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Project Team, Site Engineers, Contractors, and other relevant parties on survey requirements and work progression.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and final checks on completed works to ensure that position, alignment, levels, dimensions, and verticality are within the specified tolerances.
  • Verify construction works against approved drawings, specifications, and survey requirements, and highlight any discrepancies or deviations.
  • Provide accurate survey information and direction to site teams to support the proper execution of construction works.
  • Liaise with the Client, Consultants, Contractors, and relevant authorities on surveying matters where required.
  • Promptly report survey discrepancies, deviations, or technical issues to the immediate superior and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate survey instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage and maintain accurate survey data, field notes, records, calculations, and as-built survey information.
  • Maintain and properly file survey drawings, records, reports, and documentation for active and completed projects.
  • Ensure survey activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards, and approved procedures.
  • Support the preparation and verification of as-built drawings and survey records upon completion of construction works.
  • Perform any other survey-related duties as assigned by the immediate superior or Project Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Land Surveying, Geospatial Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant surveying experience, preferably in civil engineering or construction projects.
  • Experience in construction surveying, setting-out, levelling, and as-built surveys.
  • Familiar with local surveying requirements, construction practices, and relevant surveying standards.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, and GNSS/GPS equipment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage.
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, survey plans, and technical specifications.
  • Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in survey measurements and documentation.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors, consultants, and clients.
