One North, a Singapore based IT Services firm is currently hiring Singapore Citizens/Singapore Permanent Residents for the Technical Delivery Lead position.
Role Purpose -
The Technical Delivery Lead is accountable for the end-to-end technical delivery of technology products and capabilities,providing engineering leadership across solution implementation, software quality, technical debt, dependencies, releases andproduction readiness.
The role works closely with Product, Business, Architecture, Engineering and other technologystakeholders to ensure delivery is predictable, high quality and production-ready.
Job description -
Technical Leadership -
- Provide clear technical direction for engineering teams and act as the primary technical point of contact for delivery matters.
- Guide engineers in translating requirements and agreed solution designs into robust, scalable and maintainable software.
- Provide constructive technical challenge and practical recommendations when reviewing technical approaches.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards, practices and ways of working.
- Partner with Solution Architects on architecture decisions and ensure agreed architecture is implemented effectively
Engineering Quality & Technical Excellence
- Own the technical health of the product, including code quality, testing, maintainability, reliability, performance and supportability.
- Continuously identify, prioritise and address technical debt.
- Drive appropriate automated testing, code quality and engineering practices.
- Identify recurring technical problems and drive permanent remediation.
- Promote continuous improvement in engineering tools, practices and delivery effectiveness
End-to-End Delivery -
- Own engineering delivery from requirements through production.
- Drive delivery planning, sprint execution, milestone tracking and delivery forecasting.
- Ensure technical blockers, risks, issues and dependencies are identified early and actively managed through to resolution.
- Coordinate delivery across engineering and technology teams to maintain realistic and transparent commitments.
- Balance scope, quality, technical debt, risk and timelines in partnership with Product
Release & Production Readiness
- Own the technical aspects of releases from planning through production.
- Coordinate technical activities across development, testing, environments, deployment and operational readiness.
- Ensure production-readiness activities, documentation, monitoring and support arrangements are completed.
- Identify and escalate release risks early and drive mitigation.
- Provide technical oversight after release and ensure lessons learned translate into improvements.
Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration -
- Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Software Engineers and othertechnology teams.
- Translate business requirements into clear engineering considerations and delivery plans.
- Communicate technical constraints, delivery status, risks and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate decisions required to keep delivery on track.
- Escalate issues with clear options and recommendations rather than simply highlighting problems
Agile / SAFe Delivery -
- Participate actively in PI Planning and provide engineering input to commitments and sequencing.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation and iteration execution.
- Identify technical dependencies, impediments and delivery risks.
- Track engineering progress against PI and release commitments
Candidate Profile -
- Strong software engineering and technology delivery experience.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technology products or projects end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, automated testing and engineering quality.
- Experience with Agile delivery; SAFe experience and PI Planning exposure are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical debt, code quality, production readiness, risks and cross-team dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively and make pragmatic trade-offs between business needs, quality, risk and timelines.
- Experience working across multiple engineering and technology teams.
Preferred -
- Experience in a large enterprise or regulated technology environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms, DevSecOps, observability and modern application delivery practices.
- Experience with containerised platforms and automated quality tooling.
