Revenue Accountant

Weare seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our client’s finance team on a one-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting revenue accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and quarter-end close processes.

This role requires a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, full-cycle accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent Excel skills, hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll need:

• Perform revenue accounting activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Review customer contracts and assess appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Apply full-cycle accounting principles to complex transactions and business scenarios.
• Prepare account reconciliations and review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
• Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Utilize Oracle Cloud ERP to manage revenue accounting transactions and reporting activities

What you’ll do:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Revenue Accounting.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting treatments.
• In-depth knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes.
• Experience performing account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial close activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• CPA certification preferred
