Job Summary:
Support TOUCH's transition to an AI-enabled and data-driven organisation. Working alongside internal stakeholders and vendor partners, you will run and evolve the platforms that TOUCH's programmes depend on and build the data foundation and AI capabilities that help our staff spend less time on administration and more time with clients.

This role sits at the intersection of platform management, data engineering and applied AI. You should be as comfortable handling modern technology stacks and troubleshooting an integration failure as you are evaluating AI agents for production.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to design, implement, maintain and support AI-enabled products and platforms across TOUCH.
  • Design, build, test and support AI and Data solutions and agents, including data pipelines and reporting, grounding data, evaluation, and the human checkpoints that sit around them.
  • Ensure internal and vendor teams address and solve issues and problems in a timely manner to meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Design, develop, deploy and monitor application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Use AI to accelerate delivery and sustain technology operations whilst retaining human accountability for quality and outcome.
  • Apply TOUCH's data protection and responsible AI standards.
  • Contribute as a member of a cross-functional and agile technology and digitalisation team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline with at least 5 years working experience


Core Competencies Skills & Attributes:

  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence or machine learning.
  • Working experience with Microsoft technology stack including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of AI technology stack and Large Language Model (LLM) assistants (Claude, Copilot or Gemini).
  • Practical understanding of how large language models behave: prompting, grounding, RAG, context limits, evaluation, and where they fail.
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in application development, vendor or agile project management.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical constraints and AI limitations to non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience with integration platforms, e.g. Boomi and MuleSoft.
  • Background in data science or machine learning beyond applied LLM work.
  • Python or scripting ability.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change in the AI landscape; keeps up with the field without chasing every trend.
  • Hands-on with a can-do attitude.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Energised by innovation projects and technology adoption in social services.
