HR GENERALIST

Human Resources Executive

Our client, an established organisation within the retail and consumer sector, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Executive to support its HR operations.

This is a broad HR generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, payroll administration and day-to-day HR operations. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with frontline employees and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support full-spectrum HR operations for the assigned business functions.

• Act as a key point of contact for employee queries, concerns and HR-related matters.

• Support employee relations, engagement activities, disciplinary matters and performance management processes.

• Conduct regular site/store visits to strengthen employee engagement and ensure HR policy compliance.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation and reference checks.

• Prepare salary proposals and employment-related documentation.

• Support payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, overtime, allowances, deductions, claims and leave administration.

• Handle CPF, IR8A, IR21 and other statutory or government submissions where required.

• Support medical benefits administration and employee record maintenance.

• Handle work pass applications, renewals, cancellations and related administration.

• Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting, audits and process improvements.

• Participate in HR initiatives, projects and other ad-hoc HR duties.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.

• Around 1–3 years of relevant HR experience.

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: recruitment, payroll or employee relations.

• HR generalist exposure will be advantageous.

• Candidates from retail, F&B, hospitality or other frontline-intensive environments are preferred.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to multitask, stay organised and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable travelling within the East area for operational or site support when required.
