1. Operations Management
- Schedule Planning: Oversee daily vehicle schedules, shift rosters, and route planning.
- Fleet Maintenance: Coordinate routine vehicle servicing, repairs, and safety inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Driver Supervision: Train, mentor, and evaluate drivers, and manage attendance or performance.
- Customer Service: Handle client inquiries, prepare quotations for transport services, and resolve passenger feedback.
- Compliance: Ensure all vehicles and drivers follow local traffic and transport regulations. [1, 2]
2. Driving Duties
- Safe Transport: Drive company buses for scheduled routes, charter services, or staff/student transport.
- Service Recovery: Step in immediately to drive during driver shortages, emergencies, or unexpected delays.
- Vehicle Care: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and keep the bus clean and tidy
Fleet & Facility Management - Vendor Coordination: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with workshop mechanics, fuel suppliers, and towing services.
- Fuel Efficiency Tracking: Monitor fuel consumption patterns across the fleet and implement cost-saving driving practices.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, safety equipment, and company tools.
- Financial & Administrative Control
- Budget Supervision: Track operational costs, including maintenance expenses, fuel costs, and driver overtime pay.
- Insurance & Claims: Manage vehicle insurance renewals and oversee the documentation and processing of accident claims.
- Billing Verification: Review invoices from vendors and prepare billing reports for corporate clients or school boards.
- Safety & Risk Management
- Emergency Protocols: Establish and enforce strict guidelines for breakdown procedures, accidents, and medical emergencies on board.
- Safety Audits: Conduct random inspections of buses and observe driver behavior to ensure zero tolerance for safety violations.
- Incident Investigation: Lead internal investigations for any traffic accidents or passenger complaints, and implement corrective actions.
- Technology & Data Management
- GPS & Telematics Monitoring: Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle locations, monitor speed, and optimize routes in real time.
- Digital Record Keeping: Transition physical logbooks into digital formats for easier tracking of vehicle mileage and servicing history.
Salary inclusive of CPF and other allowances.
