Loan Broker

A loan broker acts as an intermediary between borrowers and lenders, helping clients secure financing (mortgage, personal, or SME) by identifying suitable options, negotiating terms, and managing the application process.

They assess creditworthiness, compare rates, and ensure compliance with regulations, often working for commissions or fees.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Evaluate the client’s financial health (income, credit score, debt-to-income ratio) and loan purpose.
• Lender Relationship Management: Maintain networks with banks and alternative lenders to find the best rates.
• Loan Processing: Review documents, submit applications, and collaborate with underwriters.
• Advisory Role: Explain complex loan options, terms, and risks to clients.
• Compliance: Ensure all transactions adhere to financial laws and regulations.

Required Skills

• Experience: 2–3 years in mortgage lending or banking is preferable.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan products, interest rates, and financial regulations
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
