Business Programme Specialist (Global Business)

Key Responsibilities

Customer and Commercial Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned international customer accounts, understand their business requirements, propose appropriate solutions, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the end-to-end customer and project lifecycle, including RFP, RFQ, quotation, NPI, product launch, mass production, and after-sales support.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to identify and capitalize on revenue growth and business expansion opportunities.
  • Take accountability for the operational and financial performance of assigned customer accounts, including cost, margin, inventory, and overall profitability.
  • Support the negotiation and management of contracts, pricing, commercial terms, cost-sharing arrangements, and other customer commitments.
  • Manage the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process for assigned customer accounts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and account performance metrics.

Project and Programme Management

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including project objectives, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, operations, testing, and supply chain teams to support new projects and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications, budgets, and delivery timelines.
  • Understand project critical paths and implement schedule-compression or recovery plans when required.
  • Identify potential project risks, prepare risk assessments and mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues promptly.
  • Anticipate project roadblocks and coordinate the necessary resources and actions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Communicate project status, risks, performance, and decisions clearly to customers, stakeholders, and management.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and ensure their successful and timely implementation.

Supply Chain and Operational Management

  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the global supply chain.
  • Coordinate resources across R&D, manufacturing, operations, testing, logistics, procurement, planning, and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure adequate production capacity and material availability to meet customer demand while managing potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Conduct clear-to-build reviews, initiate necessary actions, and follow up closely until all outstanding matters are resolved.
  • Oversee daily operational activities to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Forecast customer demand and manage inventory levels to optimize overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory planning and control.
  • Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and implement appropriate mitigation or disposition plans.
  • Negotiate inventory clearance and cost-sharing arrangements with customers where required.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives by streamlining supply chain processes and systems.
  • Maintain a good understanding of production lines, testing processes, factory layouts, and manufacturing workflows.

Business and Market Development

  • Monitor relevant server-industry trends, market developments, and technologies to support customer product planning and business decisions.
  • Identify new business opportunities that can increase the value of the company’s products and services.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop commercially viable solutions that meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in programme management, customer account management, supply chain, commercial operations, or a related function.
  • Experience within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Contract Manufacturing (CM), server, or electronics manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, factory planning, manufacturing processes, and end-to-end supply chain flows.
  • Experience in supply chain functions such as logistics, inventory control, procurement, production planning, and warehousing.
  • Knowledge of RFP, RFQ, quotation, NPI, product launch, and after-sales processes.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to manage costs, margins, budgets, and inventory.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and cost-sharing arrangements with global customers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in operational data analysis, performance tracking, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or other data-visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to prepare clear and impactful management-level presentations.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Fluency in spoken Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders based in China.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to support urgent business requirements outside regular working hours when necessary.
