Patient Service Officer (Rotating Shifts - Urgent Care Centre)

Job Description

• Register and update patient information.

• Perform cashier duties per Standard Operating Procedures, including checking Medisave balances and attaching signed authorizations to HIS.

• Address queries about doctors’ fees or hospital bills during discharge.

• Respond to patient requests from letters, fax, and email. Handle general inquiries, referring complex issues to senior staff.

• Follow up on incomplete admissions/discharges.

• Manage bed and operating theatre bookings after hours/weekends/public holidays.

• Enter maternity patient bio-data from pre-registration forms.

• Answer calls from patients, clinics, and organizations, providing non-clinical advice and information.

• Escort patients to locations when porters are unavailable, provide wheelchairs as needed.

• Address customer feedback and inform the Patient Service Executive/Manager.

Job Requirement

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or higher qualification.

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably within a hospital environment.

• Possesses a pleasant personality and is service-oriented.

• Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong team player.

• Able to work rotating shifts or permanent night shift, including public holidays & weekends
