Technical Lead (Network & Security – Firewall)

Role Summary

The Technical Lead (Network & Security – Firewall) is responsible for leading the engineering, implementation, operation, and support of firewall and network security solutions. The role serves as the primary technical escalation point and ensures successful deployment and operational excellence of network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

• Lead firewall implementation, migration, and upgrade activities.
• Configure and manage:
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Fortinet Firewalls
• Check Point Firewalls
• Cisco Secure Firewall
• Implement firewall policies, NAT, routing, and VPN configurations.
• Conduct system integration and testing.

Operational Support

• Provide L3/L4 technical support.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem management activities.
• Implement performance tuning and security hardening.

Team Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
• Review technical deliverables and implementation plans.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures and standards.
• Coordinate change activities and maintenance windows.

Security Management

• Conduct firewall policy reviews and optimization.
• Support vulnerability remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and governance requirements.
• Support audits and security assessments.

Documentation

• Prepare implementation plans and technical procedures.
• Maintain HLD, LLD, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Develop knowledge base articles and operational standards.
