Infrastructure Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate end-to-end infrastructure projects within a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, infrastructure delivery, change management, testing, implementation, and BAU handover.
The role requires strong experience managing cross-functional infrastructure teams, vendors, technical dependencies, project risks, and implementation activities while ensuring projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation timelines.
- Manage project resources and vendors, including activities relating to cabling and hardware movement.
- Establish appropriate project governance, reporting, tracking, and escalation processes.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery according to agreed timelines and requirements.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Coordinate closely with infrastructure, network, security, application, operations, and other relevant technical teams.
- Manage external vendors and third-party service providers where required.
- Facilitate project meetings, steering committee meetings, status updates, and stakeholder discussions.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and action items clearly to stakeholders.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and potential delivery constraints.
- Develop appropriate risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Drive timely issue resolution across technical and business teams.
- Escalate critical blockers that may impact project timelines or successful delivery.
Infrastructure Delivery
- Oversee the design, build, configuration, testing, and implementation of infrastructure components.
- Track the readiness of servers, storage, network, cloud, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery components.
- Ensure technical deliverables comply with architecture, security, operational, and project requirements.
- Ensure all required technical reviews, approvals, and sign-offs are completed.
Change, Release & Cutover Management
- Manage implementation schedules, deployment activities, and change windows.
- Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) approvals and change management activities.
- Ensure implementation and rollback plans are properly documented and validated.
- Coordinate cutover, migration, and production implementation activities.
Testing & Validation
- Coordinate and track System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance testing, security testing, and operational readiness testing.
- Track defects, remediation activities, testing results, and required sign-offs.
- Coordinate end-to-end validation across relevant infrastructure domains.
Documentation & BAU Handover
- Ensure all required project and operational documentation is completed and maintained.
- Validate operational support processes, procedures, and runbooks.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and handover to Operations and Support teams.
- Obtain final project acceptance and closure approvals.
- Coordinate project kick-off and engagement with all relevant technical teams.
- Ensure required configurations, approvals, and sign-offs are completed in accordance with established release readiness standards.
- Ensure proper and complete handover to Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of overall IT/infrastructure experience, with strong experience managing infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager / Technical Project Manager within large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure domains including servers, storage, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Experience managing infrastructure implementation, migration, cutover, and production deployment activities.
- Good knowledge of change management, CAB processes, release management, SIT/UAT, risk management, and operational readiness.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent project planning, communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical teams and dependencies within tight project timelines.
- Experience working within financial services, banking, exchange, or other highly regulated environments will be advantageous.
