Job Description:
- As a member of the Central Dealing team, you will report to the Dealing Manager and be responsible for the execution of equities, ETFs, options, futures, CFD and forex transactions, as well as related dealing and client support activities.
- Ensure retail clients and Trading Representatives (TR) meet regulatory requirements to trade US equities and ETFs.
- Ensure retail clients and TR trade within their approved credit risk profiles and limits.
- For OTC counters, we need to ensure clients and TR obtain pre-approval from credit and meet the prerequisites criteria for purchases of OTC counters.
- To ensure execution of orders to the designated brokers for institutional clients and retail clients in order to prevent settlement issue.
- To inform TR and clients of their orders status by end of the day such as via email or phone call.
- Provide timely reporting and communication of trade/order details to retail clients, TR, Maybank IB and Maybank Securities subsidiaries.
- Timely and accurate trade execution of orders for aforesaid clients and subsidiaries
- Service quality to aforesaid clients and subsidiaries
- To manage order placement/withdrawal of US orders for online retail clients and Trading Representatives (TR)
- To assist TR and retail clients with their US order placement and trade enquiries
- To assist Maybank IB –KL and Maybank Securities overseas subsidiaries with their placement of US orders
- To assist CFD clients and TR with their placement of US orders and enquiries
- To liaise with CFD vendors for system fix in the event of system breakdown
- To assist Forex clients with their order placement and enquiries
- To develop and maintain SOP for US order execution
- Assist with the execution of Options Trading for Prime Brokerage
Qualification and skillset requirement:
- The role will require the candidate to be aware and informed of the latest markets news and company announcements.
- Good understanding of equity markets and market operations. Ability to work during night trading sessions covering EU/US market hours.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related fields.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in dealing, trading operations, brokerage, or capital markets.
- Meticulous with trade execution and order management.
- Willing to work rotational shifts, including EU and US market hours. A night shift allowance will be provided.
- Candidate should have passed all the required CMFAS modules required for the role ie Modules 1A, 2A, 5, 6 and 6A (equivalent New modules effective 1 April 2024, Modules RES 1A, RES 2A, RES 5, CM-EIP, CM-SIP).
