Planning Engineer (Tender Technical)

Job Summary

You will coordinate and manage construction project activities, ensuring alignment of structural, architectural, and M&E works. You will prepare technical proposals, monitor progress, and liaise with stakeholders to support successful project delivery within tender timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead inter-department meetings to align project objectives and progress
• Monitor daily construction work progress to ensure adherence to schedules
• Prepare and plan the Preliminary Program to guide project execution
• Develop technical proposals for client submission, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Present technical proposals to Top Management and clients to secure approvals
• Coordinate structural, architectural, and M&E work requirements for integrated project delivery
• Analyze construction work arrangements, sequences, and requirements to optimize workflow
• Review temporary design and permanent works requirements for compliance and feasibility
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in construction drawings to prevent delays
• Interpret construction details across structure, architectural, and M&E disciplines to support quality execution
• Identify contractual requirements to ensure project compliance
• Assist in resolving construction-related problems to maintain project momentum
• Manage work within tender timelines to meet project milestones
• Liaise effectively with consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers to fulfill work requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of on-site construction experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in tender preparation and client presentations
• Proficiency in Primavera, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint software
• Ability to work independently with experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)
• Dynamic and self-motivated attitude
