Prepress Artist

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Prepress Artist to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, checking and ensuring the accuracy of files for print production. This role requires expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, attention to detail, and knowledge of prepress operations.

Job responsibilities

· Review files from client, verifying they are formatted correctly and meet requirements for printing.

· Identify and troubleshoot file issues related to quality, resolution and color accuracy to ensure optimal print results.

· Conduct preflight checks, layout, and color separations as necessary to prepare files for production.

· Create proofs for client or internal team review and prepare files for offset or digital output once approval is given.

· Maintain tidiness of work area, including keeping computers and printing equipment clean and in optimal condition.

· Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements, provide status updates and manage expectations.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

· Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.

· Meticulous & good eye for design and colour.

· Independent & highly motivated team player with problem solving skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and fast paced environment while maintaining high level of accuracy.

Preferred:

· Understanding of printing techniques & colour management.

· Experience in printing and packaging design.
