What You’ll Do

• Lead delivery of AI, machine learning and advanced analytics solutions from concept to production
• Design and build agentic AI applications including skills, harnesses and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations
• Develop full stack features across Front-end and Back-end services that embed AI into products and workflows
• Define cloud application and data architecture with cross-functional technology teams
• Improve engineering practices through automation, reusable components, tooling and standards
• Plan and run functional and performance testing to ensure quality and reliability
• Translate business requirements into technical approaches using Agile delivery method
• Support product lifecycle activities including roadmap input, deployment and continuous improvement

What Will Make You Shine

• Agentic AI engineering experience including practical application delivery
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques with hands-on implementation in products
• Software engineering fundamentals across design, development, testing and production support
• Cloud platform familiarity including deploying and operating AI-enabled services
• Database knowledge covering design, implementation and data management
• Agile delivery experience working in iterative delivery teams
• Problem-solving skills to convert complex business needs into working solution
• Clear communication with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with commercial AI, workflow and data platforms such as n8n, Dataiku, Databricks, Snowflake, Copilot in Power Automate
• Familiarity with Whole-of-Government AI tools such as GovTech Desk, OPUS, Airbase/Airlift
• Containerisation, orchestration and CI/CD exposure for automated build, test and deployment
